Story

This album is now available for digital download on iTunes and on Bandcamp.com.

This is a new album I recently finished wherein I sing several of the old hymns I grew up hearing in my Granny and Grandad's church.  I didn't realize how much a part of me these melodies and lyrics were until I started going back and singing these arrangements again.  My grandmother, Marie Travis, passed away on December 13, 2011, and she loved to hear me do these, so I thought this would be a good time to make this album as a tribute to her.

I already recorded an album called "Favorite Hymns" where I played these songs in the Southern Gospel style of my dad, but this album is more my own arrangements that I developed over the years.  Plus, that album was just instrumental piano, where as I sing and play on this one.

The album cover above is a picture of the church where I went every Sunday while I was growing up... a little church out in the country, just down the road from Granny and Grandad's house.

This album is just me playing and singing these songs the way I remember them.

Story

I've always thought this song had a special type of spirituality... "I come to the garden alone."  This is the second song for my new hymns album.
